Larry Pozniak Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Pozniak, a cherished partner, dad, Gido and a friend to everyone he met. On January 15, 2026, Larry passed away peacefully with his partner, Peggy, and his daughter, Tracy, by his side, at the age of 69.

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hazel Dell Community Rec. Centre (Box 63, Hazel Dell, SK  S0A 1G0) as gifts of remembrance.

Larry was born on August 13, 1956. In the early years, Larry worked construction all over Saskatchewan. He then worked with local R.M.s, the last being the R.M. of Good Lake before retirement. He achieved his dream of having a farm and loved being busy doing chores. Some of his favorite moments were hopping on the “gator” with his little buddy, Shadow, in the passenger seat, and taking a ride out to the fields, checking the cattle and horses, which were like pets to him.

In the past year, Larry had many ups and downs health wise. On his good days he sure enjoyed being able to drive into town and meeting up with his friends from “Coffee Row”.

The family would like to greatly acknowledge all of the family and friends that took time out of their lives to lend a hand, helping around the farm, being there for Larry in a pinch. Your kindness and support is so appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Thank you to the palliative staff at the Preeceville Hospital for your compassion and kindness in Larry’s final journey.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rose Pozniak and Robert Antonio.

Larry is survived by his loving partner, Peggy; daughter, Tracy Pawliw (Garry); grandsons, Reese and Ashton Pawliw; stepsons, Jeff and Greg Mclellan, and Jeff’s son, Ryder. Larry is also survived by his siblings, Lorraine, Laurence, and Linda, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and his Aunt Pauline.
