Scott Jameson Parkin was born on February 11, 1979, in Edmonton, Alberta. At 17 days old he was adopted by Norman and Diane (Dmytriw) Parkin.
Scott spent the first 14 years of is life at Antler Lake, Alberta where he developed his love of the outdoors.
Scott attended school in Alberta then in Washington State where the family had moved. When the family moved back to Canada he began working in construction in B.C. and Alberta. After working in construction for a few years he moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta, with his wife and his children to work in the oilpatch as a wireline service technician.
Scott was an avid outdoorsman. He loved snowboarding, snowmobiling, wakeboarding, mountain biking, hiking, camping, skydiving, fishing and hunting.
On July 2, 2005, Scott married Michelle Gursky. From this union he gained a step-daughter, Samantha. On Nov. 11, 2004 Scott & Michelle welcomed their son Jackson.
Scott moved to Preeceville during the covid year to be near his parents. His estranged wife, Michelle and their children also live in Saskatchewan.
Scott is survived by his parents, Norman and Diane; brother, Gerald; estranged wife, Michelle; son, Jackson; step-daughter, Samantha; mother-in-law, Jean Durnin; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Emily) Byers and their daughters, Marley and Meadow; sister-in-law, Crystal Durnin and her son Rowan; uncles, Dale Parkin and Rick Decker (Cheryl); aunts, Anne Prosko, Jean Williams, Iris Stefan, and Carol Parkin as well as many cousins and extended family.
